More Street Parties for Everyone!

Editorial illustration for Maailman Kuvalehti. If you've seen any mention of anything Finland related in any international media, there's probably a Finn exclaiming "Torille!" in the comment section. It means "To the market square!" as there's a habit of gathering in Kauppatori square in Helsinki and climb onto the somewhat fragile Havis Amanda statue (pictured) whenever there's a national reason to party. And while sports fans get to go on a rampage without too much police intervention, peaceful Extinction Rebellion demonstrators get maced. Shouldn't the city be for all of us?
